This is excellent if you are in club transatlantic and first with AA thereafter then its 120 *4 points = 480. If you were lucky enough to be in first you'd get 600 points on the one return journey.
However arriving in Miami can be foul and the timings of the return flights mean that you have to spend a long time at the airport - as there's not quite enough time to make it worthwhile to leave - and the BA "lounge" has all the appeal of a public toilet. If you are closer to Gatwick (or Heathrow post end March) and don't mind a 777 then the DFW option is at least worth looking into.
