For me, it's the lack of free internet access. I've stayed about 120 nights this past year split about 50/50 between FS and CY. Most of the time, I don't care if internet is included or not, as I'm not footing the bill. When I am, like this week for example, it really chaps my hide. The hotel I'm in this week is giving me the free breakfast which they apparently are able to extort 29 Euros for from other non-elite guests. I wish they would let me use that 29 Euros credit towards something I really want and need rather.
It's going to make it tough to stay in Marriotts in 2008. For business, it's fine. Whenever I want to make a personal trip, though, it's always been a pain in the butt. I'm writing a letter about this and several other issues which I intend to send in soon.
Any ideas to whom such a general concern/complaint letter should be addressed when one is not seeking compensation but is instead trying to get them to listen to how to keep my not-insignifigant amount of business (about $25k annually)? Or am I right in assuming that they probably don't care?
