To which island is the OP flying? And how many connections does he want to make? If his destination is not HNL, then that does limit things somewhat, unless he wants to connect in HNL to an interisland flight, which can be a pain. And does he want to fly on a 10-11 hour nonstop between EWR and HNL, or would he prefer to break the trip up, and fly two shorter segments?
