Given your flying patterns, it's probably your best move to switch over to NWA or Continental. I prefer the quality of service on Alaska Air - the intangibles - like pretty darn friendly people throughout the system, especially at reservations and especially when redeeming miles for international award travel. But I live in AK and rack up most of my miles to and from the west coast. In your shoes, I'd probably switch over.
