OAK or SJC as alternative to SFO?

I know there's an "airports" board, but it gets no traffic, so I hope this isn't too far off topic here.

For a trip to FLL in January, United wants $1,150 from SFO, but only about $240 from either SJC or OAK, so I'm considering these alternative airports.

I've never been to either of them and have no idea about traffic, parking, checkin and security hassles, upgrade opportunities, etc., and I would appreciate advice on which to choose, where to park and so on.

I've found the airport web sites, but am looking for first hand advice. I'm a United 1k, if it makes any difference, and will be gone for about 3 days. I live a few miles south of SFO and don't fancy getting up early to fight my ay across the San Mateo bridge or down 101, but for these savings I could stay the night before at a hotel near the terminal. I notice some offer parking.

(On topic: for routings via ORD, OAK is worth 6 miles more than SJC, and 11 less than SFO.)

Thanks for any advice.
