Etihad Airways Pearl Zone features a fully flat 6ft + bed in a staggered 1x2x1 layout so everyone has aisle access (really 2x4x2 ... here's a pic or two ... http://www.airliners.net/search/phot...ne_version=6.0)

Here's the link to Etihads Pearl Zone section of their website;

There is no meantion on their website of an arrival lounge or any show facilities.

I'd advise a window seat, as you'll be given maximum privacy from the walls of the seat, however, I wouldn't advise this if you're claustrophobic as it can appear quite narrow. I cannot advise a specific seat as I haven't flown on the A340-500 & the Etihad seatmaps are unavailable & the major seat map websites don't feature Etihad.

I'd advise taking a sleeping pill as it is a lunchtime departure ex-JFK & you won't necessarily be able to get a good nights rest if that's what is important to you. Mellatonine is an over the counter sleeping pill that takes about 30 minutes to take affect. Take it with your dessert, recline & you'll get 8 hours solid sleep. You'll miss the midflight snack service but you'll get a full breakfast prior to arrival in Abu Dhabi.

Enjoy Etihad!
