My recent experience of short service flights on LX is that the seating department (or computer?) put all C pax sitting next to eachother 3 x 3 in the first row, even though the rest of the cabin was empty. Naturally, some of us changed seats when it became clear that nobody else was boarding.

As for food, for shorter segments it'll be a light snack, like a brioche filled with cheese or salami.
