I have oneworld "ruby" status because I'm AA Milion Miler... I have a QF award from AKL/SYD/LAX that was booked directly with QF.

I have no status with QF that's going to show on the ticket, but can I do one of the following?

(1) Call QF and give them my AA gold number ("Ruby" on Oneworld)
(2) Will showing my card at check-in give me any extra bag allowance on QF?

PS... I"m assuming here that Oneworld Ruby will get me some extra baggage allowance... maybe I'm mistaken. I tried looking through QF website.
