This thread is great timing for me ^.

I have recently booked a govt rate at Anaheim for 2008. I work for my state govt in Australia and have the proper ID. Will it be valid for North America? Are they particular about you being on Govt work at the time??

There were actually two govt rates to choose from - Govt rate, and an even cheaper State Govt rate. I thought I better not try to pull that off - although technically I do work for A state govt (just not in USA) .

Datapoint: I have used it in Australia with no problems at all, they didnt even ask to see my ID.

BTW - I have booked well in advance (10 months), is it common to find better rates earlier in the new year, or later on? Any info would be appreciated, thank you .
