It can be. The UA914/15 IAD-CDG is listed in the timetable as 3861 miles. The actual mileage received on my statement was 3843.

So I guess I have the same question as LawLord, but with regards to IAD-SJC: it's listed in the timetable as 2400 miles. Does anyone know what this trip gives in statement miles?
