I've gone from being a 1K (1997-1999) to a 1P (2000-Present) and I can tell you what I miss:[*]The 1K room. Chex is right, miracles happen. Numerous DEN miracles including being protected on the next flight when my flight is delayed "take whichever one leaves first". This happened more than once.[*]1K reservations. Unsolicited things when making changes to reservations like: I noticed that you're waitlisted on flight XXX, let me call yeild management to see if we can correct that. Yes, I was able to remove your waitlist.[*] SWUs and HK-49s[*]1K checkin internationally[*] Thank you notes from the pilot every now and then, more thank yous from FAs and checkin agents[*]Never paid a change penalty on a non refundable ticket.[*]The only good thing about the Sh*ttle: the 1K comp upgrade[/*]

I was invited to two different "1K only" events in Indianapolis in 1998/1999. One was at the new maintenance facility, the other at a local restaurant for wine/cheese event around Christmas. Unfortunatley, I was travelling when they were offered, but I did appreciate the gesture.

I think 1K's are treated better than 1Ps.
