Thankfully there was nothing particularly essential in the bag and I had enough backup clothes in the carry-on to bide me through a few days.

Was assured that bag was already RUSH tagged by Finnair for delivery to my hotel in London today and was even provided the RUSH tag number and flight details. Unfortunately, this did not quite execute according to plan.

I am now heading down to Ghana tomorrow and will be bouncing around West Africa for the next couple weeks. I would prefer that my bag either be held for me at Gatwick (I fly through LGW primarily) or else delivered to my offices in either London or Accra. Unfortunately, Accra delivery seems a no-go due to Ghana Customs regulations, but the London delivery address is already set up as the Hilton Gatwick where I shall be vacating in the morning, and hence needs to be changed.

What is the most effective way of getting a delivery address update done on my AHL PIR? The rather clueless girl at the "Centralised Baggage Tracing Centre" number advised that I need to go in person to Heathrow tomorrow afternoon to collect the bag, but that is kinda hard to accomplish when I'll be in Africa and the bag's exact whereabouts are still kinda iffy.

I have no status with oneworld but am flying on a Club ticket if that makes any difference. No compensation was requested or offered initially but the communication costs are likely to start adding up unless the baggage shows up soon.
If you PM me your WT file reference I'll update it to show deliver to permanent address. (If that is where you want it delivered)
