Apologies if this is a really silly question, I also did a search and couldn't see anything about it elsewhere... I was tentatively thinking about a trip to SIN on VS late in 2008 as a birthday treat for myself using miles for an upgrade from PE to UC - it would be my first trip to that part of Asia. However, looking online on the VS site the only classes available are Economy and Business. So are there no PE seats on these flights? Is Business the same as or "less" than UC in terms of what you get in-flight - especially the bed?

Am I therefore right in thinking I would need 60K VS miles for a return upgrade from Economy to Business on this route?

It seems rather strange not to offer a PE product on such a long-haul flight where many would presumably be keen to pay for more comfort than in Economy?

Any tips for this route would be much welcomed, I was considering a few days in SIN and then going to Kuala Lumpur on an F Singapore Airlines flight to pick up the 10 VS tier points apparently on offer.
