Or maybe Jo Businessperson doesn't want to keep the naughty stuff in their bags for when they get home from their business trip and the SO finds the stuff.. so they hide it in the room since they're embarassed to just toss it in the bin or leave it out lest the cleaning staff see it.. it might somehow tarnish their reputation or something????
