I will be flying into SIN on 2 FEB for some days. I have planned to spent many days in Malaysia and return to SIN for the return flight on 17 FEB. Given that Chinese NY is on 7 FEB, I do not know whether to avoid or stay in SIN for the days around CNY. My primary concern is hotel rates and availability in SIN - will rates go up as hotels become sold out during CNY? Will SIN be crowded with (Asian) tourists? Are there any CNY actions in Malaysia? Where? For how many days will SIN (and Malaysia) be affected by CNY?
