Had to dig this one out. We use Carlson Wagonlit as our global travel partner in my organisation. They are absolutely terrible in Australia & New Zealand, with little to no knowledge of routing, fare construction, or fare rules. I'm yet to have an itinerary that is not broken. Their online booking system for AU & NZ is beyond horrid - although I'm told the US one is better.
I'm currently trying to make a booking involving three tickets, which they have now managed to screw up and overcharge my organisation by $3k beyond their quote. This includes booking a UA EBIZX fully refundable airfare for almost $2k more than the restricted fare. It also includes FORGETTING a domestic tag-on to an NZ long haul flight and issuing it as a separate ticket ($400), so if I misconnect I have no protection - and if it was ticketed as a tag-on it would only be $100.
They've also managed to charge my personal credit card for hotel reservations rather than going directly to the company.
Avoid CWT at all costs - I'm yet to hear anyone is happy with them. I'll be raising this with our Supply Chain people when I am back at work, although I understand they have already had a big heart-to-heart with CWT about the current uselessness of them. I've also heard that a rather large, well known search engine company has recently dropped CWT due to continual problems.
