My wife and I are starting our search for airfares from Chicago, IL to Lima Peru for a friend's wedding next December. I wanted to post a thread to get tips of where to look for the best deals for airfare, where to fly from, what air lines to check with, when to purchase and so on.

The wedding is a destination wedding on Dec 20. We will probably go down a few days early and stay about 4 extra days.

Anyone who can point me in the right direction and give me info if you have flown that way before I would be most appreciative.
