We just got back from a 2-night stay at the Signature Towers and were pretty happy overall. We booked through our Virtuoso agent and got an upgrade at check-in, free Continental breakfast and a $50 room credit for MGM Grand or Signature Tower restaurants.
We arrived on a Thursday night just before midnight and there was no line to check in. We had to valet (no self-park here) but scooted right to the counter. The agent told us that we had been upgraded from a 1-bedroom to a 2-bedroom, but the rooms weren't connected, which means that we had to leave our room by the front door and go into the other room through the hall. We never actually used the other room.
The room itself was gorgeous, with a nice view of the Strip and the Eiffel Tower. The bathroom was as big as some New York hotel rooms, and there was a separate toilet and shower right off of the living room. Both the living room and bedroom had televisions, although neither one worked when we showed up (More on that later.). The bed and sheets were very comfortable and the living room was nicely appointed.
We also received a free continental breakfast each day which was outstanding, although it listed on the menu at $18, which would have been pricey. The fruit was fresh and had a nice selection of berries, along with assorted pastries and juices/coffee. There is a $5 delivery charge which we did have to pay.
The service was generally good, although there were some hits and misses. For instance, neither of the televisions worked on the first day, so we called down to the front desk the next morning. The woman was quite rude, telling us that this was a known problem for two days (Why hadn't it been fixed, then?) and there was nothing they could do about it since it was an electrical problem in the building. I pointed out that a building problem was something they should fix and a working television was a basic for a hotel, but she insisted that there was nothing that could be done. Still, an engineer showed up 20 minutes later and had the TVs working in minutes. Other issues included the staff's inability to deliver a newspaper and a woman who knocked on our door each morning and, when I went to see who it was, she said, "Oh, nothing to worry about. Just a room check." Not quite sure what that meant.
Overall, we had a huge room for a great price, an average of about $200 per night, Thur-Sat. I'd stay again.
