No arguments here, United737522. I got the sense that the ticket agent did not want to explore available options. He said it was "not his job". I was perplexed at that remark - why do those big signs say "ticketing" I thought, but didn't say it to him. But when he offered the number (without me asking for it) I could hardly turn it down!
