They are working on something more substantial for our FC customers on flights that currently only offer mixed nuts. Until then, we are able to provide a snack box on request. Management has not discouraged us from providing them if we are asked for one.
As for Bill Scann's impression of the contents - I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think the snack boxes have a nice assortment of food and at a decent price for what you get. They have meat, cheese, crackers, a cookie, dried apricots, sunflower butter and jam along with some sesame crackers. Most passengers love them. They are a perfectly reasonable "snack" if I were at home. Somehow, ones idea of a snack becomes much more elaborate once they step on an airplane. I don't know about most of you but I don't have three course "snacks" at home.
