I recently talked with a representative at United 1K who suggested that United is possibly considering reductions in the number of miles needed for premier status in 2002. Anerican has already said that their premier flyers will simply keep the same status they had in 2001. Before I go through the hassle and expense of several mileage runs, I would like to know if I am wasting my time/money. Does anyone have any information on what United will do?
