IMHO, it is likely that, if this became an object of law enforcement examination, the conclusion would be that a felony had take place. Providing false information on a credit application for a federally insured or regulated financial institution (that is, all of 'em) is a felony.

There are better ways to get to the same end. Let friend do it themselves, using their address. @:-)Unless, of course, that address is the Illinois State Prison or similar.
