You are correct. Once you hit 100, they issue a certifcate that you have 1 year to use. So the reality is you have up to the 1 year +the 3-4 months out that JB lets you book a ticket.

Do I understand correctly that there is a way to make it so that the ISSUED TrueBlue rewards (ie after you cross the 100 point threshold) do not expire?? This is the first I've heard of there being a way to make that happen. I was always under the impression that the AmEx card just prevented earned points from expiring, but once you hit the 100 points and a reward was issued the 1 year expiry remained firmly in place.
