This is an old converted Embassy Suites and remains pretty nice. This has the large atrium common to most Embassy Suites.
We were there just overnight and found our room and check in to be more than acceptable.
It appeared to have a nice indoor pool. Free way access was good.
Boy, am I glad to hear that. Back in the 80's I stayed four nights a week at the then-Sheraton West Des Moines, and it was not a place you looked forward to visiting again. It did have one of the very few remaining Playboy Clubs as the only place to get a beer, but that was about its only interesting feature.
