LH and BMI different availability?
I'm trying to book an award more then 330 days ahead (so the ANA tool is no help). However, I have been comparing LH's online and phone award availability for a LH flight with BMI's availability over the phone and was surprised that it was not the same. BMI can't see the same availability especially for C and F awards. LH would offer e.g. 2 F seats for 2 consecutive days but BMI can only see 1 seat on day 1 one no seats at all on day 2. I've talked to several agents over several days and always get the same answer, so I would exclude an agent error.
I've heard about this problem with UA vs. LH but thought that BMI was pretty good and would offer the same awards as LH.
Has anyone experienced this problem before?
