Upstairs definitely, you get extra room by the side of the windows as the curve of the airplane is more steep there. Sometimes I bring my own massive pillow when I'm upstairs on 74A because of all the extra room you get. Front is better than back for the reasons stated by carlcowkau, and also because food service is front to back upstairs.
