Air Canada are pretty pathetic when it comes to crediting miles via the web. I am still fighting to get credit for a flight back in October that was an AC (014) ticket number, non stop flight from YVR to YOW. I claimed on the web, it accepted it. Got a letter a few weeks later syaing the claim could not be processed on the web for the following reason - this flight can not be processed on line!!!!. Now they have all the paper work, and still no credit. What a shambles You really would think that an major airline would know which passengers flew when.
