estnet, I remember discussing this topic with you before on a thread some months back. I expressed my surprise at the relative lack of recognition offered by the airlines after such an incident. I'm glad you mentioned the malpractice insurance: that was the first thing I thought of. I'm just surprised carriers don't have any sort of formal papers/release forms that you sign in such a case. Also, have you ever dared sending a bill??
