I guess 2 birds with one stone for CX.. cutting costs and with the 74A doesn't seem to make much sense to have the antipasta cart when you can barely see out into the aisle...
Also, I imagine F demand (and thus yield) has diminsihed for this flight now that most HKG-JFK F pax will opt for the non-stop flight, making F pax between YVR and JFK more likely to be joining the flight in YVR (as was my case).
