Perhaps I am a little optimistic, but the fact is it is the first new direct schedules carrier on the route in years, and one would hope it would have some kind of impact.
BMI are actually selling TLV in Y at the moment for £245 while BA's cheapest fares are now £320.
Although LY start their fares at more or less BD's level.
Forget the comparison to Moscow.
Not sure I understand why BD haven’t made it on the route, considering they offer a better product in the air.
But there are reasons for that I know.
The Israeli market is very different, and believe it or not is very price driven.
I recon BMI will have a much larger impact on the route then you think.
I do believe though they are going to have to upgrade the aircraft to a wide bodied one though.
You are right about LAD, an astonishing £2250 one way fare!
