Not a joke: Today I received a phone call from guest services to evacuate my room immediately. They noticed some sort of gas on the 12th and were scared that it might affect the other floors as well. Complimentary drinks at the bar as compensation and I took the opportunity for a dinner at their Barclay's restaurant (really yummy).
It has been a very good stay over the last two months, with a couple of caveats, for which I'd appreciate your advice w.r.t. possible compensation.
a) Concierge confirmed a reservation for lunch at a popular downtown restaurant, but when I showed up, my name was not on the list. (I kinda sneaked in under a different name, but still ...

)
b) Club Lounge closed for renovation -- voucher for appetizers and drinks offered as
compensation (however the private atmosphere in the club lounge is not available at present)
c) They lost my laundry (and I got somebody else's laundry instead). I returned the wrong delivery, specified what I was missing, explained to somebody else at guest services again, ...
and it's so far work-in-progress (since Thursday last week).
d) I requested to not be disturbed for an important tel con, but still housekeeping knocked at my door (yes, I had the Do Not Disturb hanging there...), then called my room twice.
Got compensated two $25 voucher for the restaurant.
e) What turned out to be
pepper spray as described above.
Thanks for your input.
