You arent alone in noting the crazy WT+ prices on this route either... there were 2 people in wt+ on both sectors for me... I was slumming it in Y...*shudder*
Yes using miles on this route is indeed very good value.
Even WT miles and cash are excellent value at 6000 miles and £27 cash one way (plus taxes of course).
J is very very difficult to get, and the way revenue management (or the route manager) mange’s this route is ridicules.
I've already ranted about this in another thread, but in short I could not get them to open up a seat for me last week on a totally empty flight.
J had 5 passengers on a 777!
Luckily the CSD was wonderful, and I ended up in J 20 minutes after take off
I recon WT+ on full flights is dominated by OP UP's.
And on the not very full flights it is farley empty.
