I quite agree!
I found out last week that I am going next month for work for nearly a week. The WT+ fare is not much under the fare for YYZ, which is several hours longer. The cost of the upgrade from WT is GBP300 each way and a total return fare of GBP951!
Interesting that WT+ to CAI is GBP608 on the same days, even though there is little difference in flight length.
