The Convention Center HP was under renovation when I was last there at the end of November. I found the staff there to be a little more on top of things than at the Universal location, including a follow up phone call after checkin to ask if everything was okay.

Otherwise I've stayed at 4 converted Amerisuites (2 near Dulles Airport, 2 in Orlando) in the past 2 months and the rooms look identical, although the lobbies have varied depending on how far along they were in the conversion process. I'm not sure how they arrived at brown and yellow as the prevailing colors of things, but it does add to the drab feel even though some things are clearly new.
