AA's JFK-FCO flight does not operate on March 8 (and FCO-JFK doesn't operate March 15), but both operate the day before and after.
If you don't mind FCO you could always fly Delta non-stop JFK-FCO (their service is daily), back PSA-JFK ($3216).
