If the flight from the states arrives on time, it will be tight but OK - if you are even a little bit late then you are in bad shape.

Any itinerary involving a UK transfer will require checking at least one bag.

If the chosen itinerary shows up on AA.com then you can book it directly through them, you'll need to check that box that reads "other carriers"

If you fly on a OW itinerary (AA/BA etc..) you'll have access to the Le Anfore lounge at FCO - its nothing to get excited about it.
