OK, now I understand - so one other thing: the Bishop Lei, being the closest hotel to 70 Robinson Road is extremely well used to meeting the needs of people going there. They know all about, for example, operating lifts, lights etc as required.

Having said that I work for a company where many visiting senior managers have similar needs, and they have been happy also with the Mandarin. The Bishop Lei is a good tourist grade hotel, but you can get a duplex harbour view suite with a sun room for a lot less than the price of a single room at the Mandarin. Given that you're unlikely to be using the restaurants and bars at the Mandarin then the convenient location and familiarity of the Bishop Lei with your needs might swing it if I were you.
