For me, $99 would have definitely been worth it. I feel lucky I didn't get a DVT on that flight after how cramped I was.
Wow, I can't imagine E- and being 6'10". (I can't imagine being 6'10" either.)
I'm 6'1", and I hate E- in all its' forms. If I were 6'4" like you, I could see paying that hundo to escape it, especially if I could get row 17 on the 772.
