Scotch Pies made from spiced Minced Lamb are quite popular in Scotland I understand. As I am from south of the border, I am not sure what they are called locally, but I would expect something more like "meat pie" than "mince pie", to avoid confusion.

They are called scotch pies elsewhere in the UK.
