So Much for Common Sense
My son was scheduled for CVG/DTW/PHL tonight. Weather caused all sorts of problems. But the DTW/PHL flight was canceled for maintenance so he was rerouted through MSP. He arrived at the gate in time to see the plane push back the usual couple of minutes early dispite the fact it is forecast to arrive in PHL 5 minutes early. Since he still had the DTW/PHL boarding pass and the computer showed it was canceled for maintenance, the MSP gate agent provided hotel and meal vouchers. He would have preferred getting home in time for work tomorrow morning. His original plan was a combined Dayton Air Museum/mileage trip. Yesterday's weather changed the destination to CVG. At least he made platinum. Not holding for 2 minutes on a flight forecast to arrive 5 minutes early, cost NW vouchers. SO MUCH FOR COMMON SENSE!
