Generally happy.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked a Superior King, upgraded to Deluxe One Bedroom Suite.

How are the rooms?

Good space, but a little tired. Two mini-bars and two bathrooms (no walk in shower).

How is the exec. lounge?

Not offered access to Club without paying additional usd50 per night.

What was good and what was bad?

Good: brought straight to Ambassador/RA desk on right hand side of lobby as registration desk busy on arrival.

Arrived at 0800 and brought to suite.

Bad: Not offered Club access or upgraded to renovated suite. Have now stayed on several occasions over the last few weeks, and despite asking on several occasions - and offering to swop the suite for a Club room, this has been refused on each occasion, with various managers insisting I was entitled to a suite but not to a Club room;-(

I was offered a corporate rate for a Deluxe room, Superior Room and Club Room.

Having decided to pay for a Superior Room, I am disappointed that I am repeatedly being given a Deluxe Suite rather than a Club Room or Superior Suite. The Superior and Club rooms have been recently upgraded, and the deluxe rooms are all quite tired.


Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Based on the corporate rate I am paying, yes. But based on the rate offered on the PriorityClub website - probably no, even allowing for the suite upgrade.

But on my next stay in nairobi, I am going to try the Hilton and see what upgrade (if any) I receive by comparison as a HH Diamond.
