LIR is still this cute little tropical airport in desperate need of expansion in the light of all the traffic it gets. Delta is the big carrier there. It pioneered the international flights there from ATL 10 years ago, and just this month is beginning weekly service from LAX.

An hour would not be sufficient time for check-in, jordyn. The lines can be horrendous. Several of the big hotels sell the $26 airport tax to their guests in advance. If the place you're staying does, I'd recommend taking care of it that way. It's one less line to endure.
