It's a long existing rumor that LH will start to serve MUC - BOM at some point in 2008. So far, there is an issue with the contract that regulates the flights between India and Germany. All "slots" are filled but I guess with AI serving Germany very frequently in the future, there is already some change in progress that will also open up some possibilities for Lufthansa.

Not that second anymore. FRA has about 54 million passengers a year, MUC has 34 million.

Lufthansa serves all important European airports nonstop out of MUC and the most important worldwide destinations, especially in the US, so this is also an option for Air India connection passengers.

MUC is a huge winner but so is Lufthansa with their cooperation partner Air India!!
