Yeah, I had to post a response on the Herald because it was clear the posters had no idea what they were talking about. One guy thought it was a waste to get PLT because he had 150k miles and couldn't redeem them for a trip he wanted to take. Now THAT's apples and oranges!
How can you not be able to redeem AA miles? Isnt that what the 100K anytime award bookings are all about (not being denied)?
Ive always had to do some playing around with dates to try to get 40K or 60K tickets, but have never had a problem when the trip/dates were important enough to cough up 100K.
