OT: Mince pies and USA

Havinglived in the US I know that not all food is banned.

Canned stuff, Marmite, candy sweets etc are all allowable as long as you take the pre-caution of checking with the customs agent.

Any ideas about Mince Pies ? Am going to the US in a day or so and he wants some M&S ones for Christmas but I think the fruit inside them will be too much (for the FDA) and I'll have to bin them at the point of entry?

Anyone venture an opinion whether I will get these in after passing them through inspection in the US ?
