yes, it helps to plan in advance, but even lowly, no-metal me managed to get a reward for the tuesday before thanksgiving....2 weeks beforehand....

Yeah, I had to post a response on the Herald because it was clear the posters had no idea what they were talking about. One guy thought it was a waste to get PLT because he had 150k miles and couldn't redeem them for a trip he wanted to take. Now THAT's apples and oranges!
