You can just call them. I done it. For whatever reason, you leave hotel....maybe a long line at front desk, or you are rushed and about to miss the airport shuttle.

Just call the hotel and tell them you've left the property. Leave it on the credit card offered at check-in. Can ask to email/fax/mail a copy of the bill to you.
