I'm suprised that you weren't willing to call the GM, yet you were willing to contact Marriott Rewards. Why not contact the GM directly as he/she may be unaware of your issue altogether. Not saying that MR did the right thing (IMHO, they should have assisted you), but as they didn't, I'm just suprised that you took the time to post here, make multiple calls to customer service, but didn't do the suggest thing of just trying to contact the GM - the one person who can make it right...

Actually, I did e-mail the GM when they told me it was related to that stay but haven't heard from him.... he is (assuming it's still the same one) very good at not responding in a timely manner.
