The computer (HAL) would ask you if this is "cepheid", or someone calling on behalf of "cephied". If your mother is a 1K, just say that this isn't "cepheid", and I am sure you would then get to enter your mom's MP number just like before.
Unless I'm missing something it shouldn't be a big deal.
