If you have a ton of drink chits, you must fly internationally quite a bit. Unless you have a domestic segment, those 500 milers are useless.

If you are a 1P and have been all year and have requalified for 1P, you must have at least twenty 500 milers to burn. (I have 17, fly international all the time, but with SFO as my home port, I always get non-stops, so they are just sitting there. Since I am usually a 2P (got 1P just today), when I do fly domestic my upgrade very rarely clears).

So, the bottom line, when else are you going to get the chance to use them?

Use them or lose them.
